Problem: When [gui/shortcuts]fulldefaults is true, then you can't clear the shortcut of a command which is only in the full set.
In bool KeyConfigPrefs::Commit(), for a command only in the full set, dkey = "", so if the key is set to "", there will be no entry in NewKeys for this.
In CommandListEntry *CommandManager::NewIdentifier, if [gui/shortcuts]fulldefaults is true, then for all commands the key is initially set to the default. For the shortcut that should have been cleared, there is no entry in NewKeys to override this, so it is in fact not cleared.
Fix: In bool KeyConfigPrefs::Commit(), when [gui/shortcuts]fulldefaults is true, use the full set of defaults to find the default key.
... it's either the source of the connection that is being destroyed, or other
object (such as an ancestor window) transitively owning it and so causing it to
be destroyed too;
or, the sink is being destroyed, and that sink is a wxEvtHandler (which is
always so for Disconnect, though not for Unbind in case Bind was passed a
member function of a non-wxEvtHandler).
wxWidgets takes care of erasing the connection in such cases.
This removes most calls to Disconnect and Unbind. Many destructors shrank to
nothing.
Notably, in case of popup menu handling, the call to Disconnect is not removable
because the object being destroyed is neither the source nor the sink.
... Maybe a good feature idea, but the implementation pollutes the code in
too many places.
It's a special case of the more general idea of many-to-one associations
between screen rectangles and track objects. More generalized ways to
accommodate that should be sought.
Repair work involves lots of zooming in and out, to use the repair effect on up to 128 samples.
Ctrl Mouse-Wheel zooming now will zoom to ends of selection, if available, or mouse position otherwise.
Zoom-Toggle hyphen removed and Preset2 changed.
Button tooltips tweaked to match menu entries.
Added preferences for Zoom-Toggle and put into menus.
New helper functions for determining zoom scaling.
Optional EXPERIMENTAL_ZOOM_TOGGLE_BUTTON added, and Light theme updated.
Not enabled for 2.2.2.
... and similar wx "variadics," which all treat wxString smartly enough that
you don't need this.
Don't need c_str either to convert wxString to const wxChar * because
wxString has a conversion operator that does the same.
VZooming remains on by default in Audacity itself.
Also kGuard (the gurard zone in the VRuler) reduced from 8 pixels to 5pixels
following feedback from Steve.
1: Guard zone 8 pixels wide in VRuler to reduce risk of accidental use.
2: VerticalZooming preference, for VRuler zooming, off by default,
3: Enabled Paul's right-click menu in VRuler with some extra
presets (x2 and x0.5)
4: Rearranged some messy code with lots of ifs to use a switch.
Also, with EXPERIMENTAL_HALF_WAVE defined we now get a
'half wave' option in the VRuler menu, that shows the wave top half.
We also use it in collapsed waves (and collapsing and restoring
a WaveTrack will get you back to normal zoom.
- Dead code from experiments in SelectionBar removed.
- Many warnings about unused parameters fixed with WXUNUSED()
- Many warnings about signed / unsigned comparisons cleaned up.
- Several 'local variable declared but not used' warnings fixed.
... There are four different code paths to test, for four different "Download"
buttons:
The two "Download" buttons in the Libraries preference dialog; and,
The Download button in each of the two dialog boxes that follow the two
"Locate..." buttons.
There are just two new help pages in a proper build of local help, each the
target of two buttons.
One of these pages is called "FAQ:Installing the FFmpeg-Import-Export Library"
rather than "FAQ:Installing the FFmpeg-Import/Export Library"
because there are some difficulties preventing links to pages with "/" in the
title, which I didn't try to fix.
... "Light" was used in two different meanings, but one place was the obsolete
Leveller effect, whose code is removed now. (I leave the files in place, to
make it easier for the curious to know it was once there, and find its history.)
i18n-hints added for the surviving use of "Light" to name a theme, and also for
some of the other themes.
Previously this was hard coded to use the online alphamanual.
Some other help-on-errors paths were hardcoded to use the online manual, and did not use local help even if available, so these were changed too.
Also two naming changes in the code:
ShowHelpDialog() became ShowHelp() because it typically shows the help in your browser, only showing the help in a dialog under certain circumstances.
The helpURL parameter became helpPage since it is usually a page name that is then elaborated into a url.
The Link() function became InnerLink().
Some careful http -> https changes made too.
Fixed by putting key bindings on the left in all three views.
I also elevated EXPERIMENTAL_KEY_VIEW to no longer experimental, by excising the old code which we don't need any more.
