80bd436ff9 late commit of the changes needed to this script for the 2.0.6 release cycle: do not remove Makefiles as some are precious, and remove some more libraries which are not used in released code. 51ba874c1e Fixes from Benjamin that correct several "configure" problems under Ubuntu Natty and Debian Unstable 
Also fixes test in maketarball.sh that determines whether a reconfig is needed.
